ALABAMA STATE SPORTING CLAY TOURNAMENT
Congratulations! The following shooters won guns at the 2017 Alabama Sporting Clay Championship. All shooters that participated in the Main Event were eligible and these lucky 8 had their names drawn from the hat! (1) Chris Ikner (2) Jody Andrews (3) Garret Sadler (4) Ronnie Lack (5) Thomas Beron (6) Peige Josey (7) Randy Dotson (8) Dave Bruner. Congratulations to all and another big thanks to all the shooters and their families that stuck it out with the approaching storm that arrived Sunday.
CLUB CHAMPION SHOOT-OFF RESULTS
The first annual Club Champion Shoot-Off was held at Bushy Creek Clays on February 29, 2020. This event was a competition between Bushy Creek Clays, Santa Rosa Shooting Center, Taylor Creek Sporting Clays and Southern Tactical Range. It was a great day for shooting with perfect weather.
Bushy Creek Clays won the event with a team score of 320. Their team members were Billy Thomas, Eric McCall, Marcus Jordan and Terry Josey.
The scores of the other teams were:
Taylor Creek Sporting Clays 316
Southern Tactical Range 310
Santa Rosa Shooting Center 285
High shooter for the event was Terry Josey with a score of 91.
This event will be held on the last Saturday of February each year so mark your calendar for February 27, 2021 with the event taking place at Santa Rosa Shooting Center.
There will be a change in the team format next year. Instead of a four person team, the teams will be made up of five people per team with at least one of the five people being a female shooter. More details on the 2021 event will come out later this year.
